The whole anime is basically about this girl (haruhi) who's on scholarship in this incredibly filthy rich high school and has to dress up as a guy so she can pay off the money she owes from the host club (from breaking an antique) by actually working as a host. But the money factor is more like the excuse to shove the girl into the host club and keep her there as a crossdresser.

And theres 6 other guys in the host club;

Tamaki - the king of the host club, drama queen, has a particularly overexagerated crush on haruhi (but you gotta admit his helpless-haruhi and prince tamaki daydreams are pretty amusing)

tamaki quote (written with no reference, variations may occur):
[looks at a jar of instant coffee]
Tama: Haruhi, what is this?
Haru: Coffee, obviously.
Tama: I've never seen this brand before, is it the already ground kind?
Haru: No, it's instant.
Random Girls: Instant?
Tama: OH! So this is the so called commoners' coffee from the rumors where you only need to add water!
Random Girls: Woooh! So it's true that commoners don't have time to grind coffee beens so they have to use already ground ones to save the little time they have!
Haru [looking pissed] : I'M SORRY! I'll go buy it again. SORRY for not buying expensive coffee.
Tama: NO, wait.
Random Girls: !?!?
Tama: I'll try this.
Girls gasp
Tama [stands up dramatically]: I'LL TRY THIS!!!
Girls and other hosts claps : WOAAH!!!
Haru: Rich bastards...

Kyouya - basically just stands there to make haruhi's life miserable by reminding her ever so often that she owes them millions

Hikaru & Kaoru - incredibly devious twins who basically fills their share of being hosts by using 'forbidden brotherly love' (a killer for shounen-ai, yaoi, slash fans - aka. NAT)

Hani - super-duper-uberly cute senior student, permanent pink flowers hanging around him, (seriously, he's so cute you really want to scream)

jigoku shoujo = teh best!
jigoku shoujo, freaky girl with freaky red eyes who takes revenge for people only to have the people they help go to hell after they die as the price of her 'service'

utterly fantastic.

and not to mention the infinately reapeated little poem like thing just before she sends people to hell.

"ippen, shin de miru?"

translation: "want to see what dying is like?"

aaauuughhhh. sooo cool!!!!

ok, if the animation and development was better, it might be a moderately good anime. but seriously, the storyline is waaay too fast, its all centered around men who look like women, this completely oblivious main character who has the potential to be a multi-millionaire by underaged gambling.

is that bad influence or what?

so, in conclusion:

watch jigoku shoujo, a little morbidness can get you a long long way...

so chapter one is in the gallery page. its a bit different from my original idea for the movie (aka. what i drew, because that was kind of a concept drawing) please read it and give feedback! (eventhough its pretty crude...)

oh, and by the way, BLEACH MANGA SECOND ARC ROCKS! HA! waaay better than the stupid anime. for a while after the soul society arc, i thought ive completely lost interest for the manga, but it drew me back in, mainly because rukia isnt a damsel in distress anymore.

this is a feeble attempt to revive my half dead site. the main reason why i havent updated properly since...forever, is because i want to redo some parts of the site. needless to say its taking me a long looong time. i havent stopped drawing though, theyre all just doodles and sketches because im technically not supposed to use the computer for drawing because im supposed to be doing coursework.

we all know ill find a way to sneak a few doodles between my studying. (-snickers-)

...and the few episodes of anime too...
